Our Chapter is pleased to invite you to the 32nd annual Joint Military Service, Junior ROTC Armed Forces Career Officer’s Day (AFCOD) EXPO and Luncheon to be held on Tuesday, 23 NOV 2021. As in the past, we have reserved the McCormick Ranch Golf Club located in Scottsdale, AZ as the venue. Please see the AFCOD FLYER for more specific and detailed event information. We, also recognize that new variants of the COVID virus may impact how the youth of our state return to in-person education and are allowed by the school districts to travel to/attend events. Be assured that we will keep everyone well-informed on event changes as they are identified.
Unfortunately, the pandemic has had a huge impact on our Chapter’s ability to raise funds in order to support this event as we have in the past. Normally, all cadets and their cadre attend this event as our Chapter’s guests. This year, we are asking if you would consider helping us by sponsoring one or more of the cadets. Of course, your contributions will also allow us to present a program that will expose our high school Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) student cadets to the challenges of a career in the military and introduce the rewards of service to the nation. As you know, this event focuses on all branches of our U.S. Armed Forces. We invite representatives from all officer commissioning sources such as all the Service Academies, ROTC, various military institutes, and Officer Candidate Schools to interact with the cadets and a military equipment exhibit is a part of the presentation.
Please be aware that if you choose to make a contribution to support this event, it will be made through our Arizona Territorial Chapter of AUSA. Our federal EIN is 53-0193361 and we are exempt from Federal income taxes as an educational organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Any donation will be considered a charitable donation and you will get a receipt for your generous support. A donation of funds can be made through our CHAPTER WEBSITE “Donation” button on the Main page of this website or Reservations/Donations can be made below. Reservations/Donations can also be mailed to our Treasurer at: LtCol (Ret) Ray Boucher, 13236 North 7th Street, Suite 4, Box 196, Phoenix, AZ 85022 or send him a note at 8rboucher@gmail.com for further guidance.
