Twenty-Eight years and still going strong! On 24 November 2015, our Chapter will host the annual Armed Forces Career Officer’s Day (AFCOD) luncheon at McCormick Ranch Golf Club, Scottsdale, AZ. This Phoenix home-grown event was designed to encourage quality young men and women to become officers in the Armed Forces. Displays acquaint them with all of the different services’ opportunities. Last year we sponsored High School students from over 51 institutions of learning (including an on-line school, pre-college school, and a home-school). Over 340 JROTC students, educators, sponsors, military members, veterans and family members attended. This year we hope to make this event bigger and better than ever. We are in the process of identifying our guest speakers and a flyer announcing the event ticket reservation process will go out in the near future. Keep your eyes open for more news about this unique event, circle the date in your calendar, and plan to attend!
