Our Chapter’s annual Awards Luncheon which will be held on Sunday, 21 February 2015 at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale. In addition to presenting awards to our outstanding Soldiers (Active, Arizona National Guard, US Army Reserves) and cadets for their exemplary performance, we will also recognize our great Corporate Sponsors for their many contributions to the Chapter. Of course, award recipients, Corporate Sponsors and their guests will participate with the compliments of the AUSA Chapter.

The featured speaker for this event is Brigadier General (Retired) Richard Gregg Maxon. BG (R) Maxon is a Class of 2011 Arizona Hall of Fame member. He served in the US Navy and the US Army, retiring as the Assistant Adjutant General-Army, for the Arizona Army National Guard. BG (R) Maxon is a passionate advocate for all veterans and their families. In 2008, Gregg, an Attorney at Law, began working with others to establish a veteran’s treatment court in Maricopa County, and he was part of the team who briefed the Board of Governors, Arizona State Bar, regarding the need for legal services for veterans, and their families. The State Bar subsequently established the Military Legal Assistance Committee, which Gregg now chairs. Later he collaborated to establish Arizona’s first law school clinic specifically designed to serve our veterans. That clinic, as well as, the Arizona Veterans Courts Program is now fully operational. BG (R) Maxon has a rich military background and is a dynamic speaker, so make sure to register for this event!
